Ngororero: Residents advised on work contracts
Residents employed in building roads and on house construction sites are the main victims of contractors that do not pay
Ngororero district administration advised residents to demand for contracts or signed casual payment files from employers so that authorities help them in case contractors don’t pay.
This comes after some residents complain to the authorities that contractors employ them only to vanish with their wages.
“We receive such cases more often. However, we fail to help residents because they come to us without evidence,” said Vedaste Ndayambaje, in charge of good governance in Ngororero district.
Ngororero district is setting up infrastructures as part of development plan and it’s in this regard that contractors employ residents in such activities but some of them end up without pay.
