Rwanda : Health workers Association look forward to provide better services

Nyagatare hospital Health Workers and other health centres making their Organisation health conducted a meeting on the 24^th.Aug.2012 at Nyagatare hospital, where they reviewed how they can look out for their interest while giving better health services.

Hobess Nkundimana the labour personnel in Nyagatare district asked members of this syndicate to fight for their interests in their work while providing services at their best.

He gave an example of employers who keep on giving trial contract for many times to an employee yet trial contract is not supposed to exceed 6 months. However, he emphasised on work ethics; saying it is necessary to consider patients who have nothing to do with employers.

He also told them to protect the interest of all members of the syndicate in general and look for information while ensuring employees rights and fight abuse done to workers.

Members of the Health workers syndicate say that their only problem is their salaries of which the government increased yet they still receive the same salary like before the change.

Deogratias Musabyimana the president of this syndicate in Nyagatare district said that they are following up on this problem and that the team that prepares their salaries promised to solve it very soon.
